Leslee,

Where has Richard vanished? I've been checking his blog, but he hasn't updated anything since his trip to Romania. Is he doing okay? We've been together at a couple of CBF retreats in Missouri at Windermere and his mother and mine attend the same church in Acton, TX.

Gary, that is a very good question. Thank you for asking. Just last night I reminded him and the Tall Doctor that it was ok to post on the blog, that I wasn't trying to do it all, all by myself. I don't know if or when he'll post but I can tell you that he is fine. I'll make sure he knows you asked about him!

Alive and well...and I think a bit sensitive about getting "beat up" for comments or opinions expressed on the blog world. You will note that we "baptists" are very skilled in dissecting our own...

Back to the picture, Leslee, why is Christ's hand on Thomas'...was he concerned that he would probe too deep...or was that he was guiding it to feel the depth...

I know, I know, the physician would be the only one who would note such things...

Mike, I'm no Caravaggio or art scholar, but my interpretation would be the reason Christ has his hand on Thomas is calm him down. Thomas doubted that Christ was alive and well, so to speak. By Christ placing his hand on Thomas he not only revealed that he wasn't a ghost, but I'm sure that Thomas would know what it was like to be touched by Christ. I'm sure even back then a pat on the back or a hug was acceptable behaviors and we know the touch of the important people in our lives. To me it looks like Christ is saying, "Here, feel for yourself."

I want to know why he's always seen wearing the death clothes he left in the tomb. Or did he start the whole Toga craze?

Oh, and as you can see I'm up way to early to type anything that makes sense. Hopefully you'll understand what I'm getting at.
