Good Sheep!

Matthew 25: 34-40 from the Message

I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.

Then those 'sheep' are going to say, 'Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?' Then the King will say, 'I'm telling you the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me- you did it to me.'

If you missed our service today, you missed a great blessing. This scripture means a lot to me and you can go to Fresh-Cut Flowers to read why it means so much to me. To read what pastor had to say you can read his sermon about the little things.

Blessings to you all!

Visiting preacher . . .

I'll be out of the pulpit this week, and we have invited the Coordinator for our state CBF organization (Cooperative Baptist Fellowship) to be with us and bring the morning message.

Frank "T" Thomas was CBF's first appointed missionary. He served in Europe, working with the Romany Gypsy people. He is gregarious, to say the least, and you will be encouraged and challenged by him as he speaks. "T." never met a stranger, so step right up and introduce yourself, and extend a warm Cornerstone welcome to him.

I would also encourage you to invite anyone who has questions about CBF. T does a great job of explaining what CBF is all about, and you and I both know there are people out there who have heard nothing but the negative remarks of jealous detractors. So, invite a friend, and let's have a full house.

I'll think fondly of you from my deer stand in Texas.
